From the first photo to the last session
Tattoo removal is not a single appointment but a journey over several months. Here you'll learn what to expect at each point – without sugar-coating.

Before the appointment
No sun or self-tanner on the area for two weeks beforehand. Shave hairy areas the day before. Come without cream or make-up on the day. If you're sensitive, you can apply a numbing cream from the pharmacy about an hour beforehand – just ask us.
Consultation and test patch
We examine the tattoo and skin, clarify pre-existing conditions and medication, and laser a small patch. That shows us how the ink reacts, and you feel what it's like. Afterwards you know realistically how many sessions it will take.
The session
Goggles on, cool the skin, laser. A palm-sized tattoo is treated in a few minutes. The area briefly turns whitish, then red and slightly swollen – like sunburn. You drive home as normal afterwards.
The days after
Cool, apply wound gel, don't scratch, no sauna or swimming pool for about a week, avoid the sun. Blisters and small crusts are normal and heal by themselves. We give you an aftercare sheet to take home.
Break between sessions
The body needs time to break down the shattered pigment via the lymphatic system. That's why there are six to eight weeks between two sessions. Waiting longer loses nothing – the tattoo often fades even further in that time. Drinking plenty of water helps the body clear it away.
