How many sessions do I need?
Three to six for most tattoos. Black amateur tattoos go fastest; dense, colourful professional work takes longer. After the test patch we give you a realistic range – not a wishful number.
What does a session cost?
That depends on area and colour: a black tattoo of 5 x 5 cm costs CHF 200, 10 x 10 cm CHF 350, 15 x 15 cm CHF 550 per session; colour designs CHF 250, 400 and 600. Smallest designs from CHF 50. The price calculator on the prices page tells you the exact amount. Permanent make-up, cover-up lightening and pigment spots cost CHF 100 per session. Consultation and test patch are included.
How painful is the treatment?
Comparable to a rubber band snapping on the skin – brief and noticeable, but bearable. We cool intensively, and a session often takes only minutes. If you wish, you can apply a numbing cream beforehand.
Will there be scars or light patches?
With the picosecond laser the risk of scarring is very low, because hardly any heat enters the skin. Temporary lightening of the skin can occur and usually evens out within months. However, scars left by the tattooing itself sometimes only become visible once the ink is gone.
How long do I have to wait between sessions?
Six to eight weeks. During this time the body breaks down the shattered pigment. Waiting longer does no harm – on the contrary.
Can all colours be removed?
The PicoSure works at 755 nm and is particularly strong on black, blue and green. Red and yellow need a little more patience. White and some cosmetic pigments can darken – which is why we always laser a test patch first.
Does health insurance pay?
No. Tattoo removal counts as a cosmetic treatment in Switzerland. That's why we deliberately keep our prices low.
Is the treatment safe and permitted?
Yes. Since 1 June 2024, only people with a Swiss federal certificate of competence under V-NISSG may laser tattoos in Switzerland. We hold this certificate and work with a medically approved device.
What must I avoid before and after the treatment?
Before: no sun or self-tanner for two weeks, no cream on the day itself. After: no swimming pool, sauna or heavy-sweat sport for a week, don't scratch, avoid the sun and apply cream to the area.
Can I have the tattoo only partially removed?
Yes. Individual letters, names or lines can be treated selectively, and the rest stays untouched. Lightening for a cover-up is also possible.
Is there an age limit?
We treat from age 18. For minors we need written consent from a legal guardian, and a parent must be present at the first consultation.
How quickly can I get an appointment?
Usually within one to two weeks, often also in the evening or on Saturday. Message us via WhatsApp – we usually reply within an hour.
Is it worth travelling from Zurich or Bern?
Do the maths: our price is fixed in advance, and over several sessions the difference to big-city prices quickly adds up to several hundred francs. Kreuzlingen is just over an hour from Zurich main station, direct by train. Many combine the appointment with a day at Lake Constance.
